An Official meeting chaired by Honorable Minister of Health with Secretary SBTA

An Official meeting chaired by Honorable Minister of Health with Secretary SBTA, on3rd October, 2023, regarding improving ways to provide safe & healthy blood to the community at large.

The participants included Minister of Health Dr Saad Khalid Niaz, Secretary Health, Secretary SBTA Dr DureNaz Jamal and Administrative Officer SBTA Dr Dureshehwar.

Highlighted topics of discussion included Upgradation of Regional Blood Centers, incorporation of standardized screening techniques such NAT & CLIA and need for establishment of dashboard for accurate data collection throughout the province.

The meeting concluded with a discussion to strengthen blood banking system and the Minister of Health agreed to work with the Authority to develop a more efficient and effective system for ensuring access of the blood & products to the population.
